Job summary

Implats is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee mining operations at an operational/tactical level. The role focuses on achieving production targets while ensuring safe, cost-effective output and strict adherence to regulations.

The incumbent will manage shift supervisors and miners, plan short- and long-term objectives, and oversee budgeting and cost controls. Strong leadership and compliance experience are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Oversee production at an operational/tactical management level.
• Achieve mining production targets (volumes).
• Ensure safe, cost-effective production of high-quality output.
• Directly supervise shift supervisors and miners.
• Plan short- and long-term strategic objectives.
• Manage and monitor department budgets.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Evaluate costs and determine corrective actions where needed.
