Placements24 in Kimberley, South Africa, seeks a Mine Planning Technician to support engineers and geologists in developing and updating mine plans, models and schedules.

You will translate geological data into executable mine plans, using Surpac/Datamine/Vulcan and CAD tools, ensuring accurate spatial representations and effective resource extraction. A National Diploma and 2+ years in mine planning are required; on-site accommodation is provided.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in mining engineering or related technical field.
• At least 2 years experience in mine planning or mine surveying support.
• Proficiency in Surpac/Datamine/Vulcan and CAD software.
• Understanding of open-pit or underground mining methods and planning requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and updating short-term and long-term mine plans using specialized software.

About the Role
