Redpath Mining Inc. seeks an experienced Mine Overseer for hard rock underground operations at our Polokwane project. The role focuses on safe, productive underground development and compliance with statutory requirements.

You will plan and monitor daily production, optimize resource usage, and drive safety initiatives while maintaining accurate reporting and strong client relations.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate or equivalent.
• Blasting Certificate.
• Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency.
• ND Mining Eng or Mining Eng BTech advantageous.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable own vehicle.
• Medically Fit for underground.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and submit daily production and financial reports to the Site Manager.
• Plan resources to optimize production while ensuring safety.
• Ensure data accuracy and authenticity of information.
• Monitor production performance against targets.
• Identify shortfalls and implement recovery plans.
• Control costs and budgets relevant to underground operations.
• Conduct regular underground visits to monitor conditions and provide expert input.
• Lead monthly production planning meetings to set targets and focus areas.
• Demonstrate solid legal knowledge for underground mining operations.
• Provide information access to employees and teams.
• Ensure adherence to safety and health programs.
• Promote company safety initiatives and health objectives.
• Foster strong client relationships and contribute to business growth.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• 5 years' experience as Mine Overseer (Hard rock)
• Proven track record of meeting and or improving monthly production and safety targets
• Trackless development experience
• Decline sinking experience
• Have knowledge and understanding of Contract management
• Experience and knowledge of working with shotcrete and fibercrete

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain and submit daily production and financial reports to the Site Manager

• Ensure the standardization, accuracy and authenticity of information
• Closely monitor the production performance as per the targets
