Placements24 is seeking a Mine Geologist to join the exploration team in a primarily remote role with occasional on-site visits to Sandton. The successful candidate will analyze geological data, interpret surveys, and coordinate exploration activities to identify new mineral prospects and contribute to resource estimation.

Responsibilities

• Interpret geological maps, cross-sections, and geophysical/geochemical data to identify and prioritize exploration targets.
• Plan and manage field exploration programs, including drilling campaigns and sampling.
• Log drill core and perform geological mapping and structural analysis.
• Maintain and update geological databases and contribute to resource estimation efforts.
• Collaborate with senior geologists and management on exploration strategy and project reporting.
