Job summary

You will lead daily operations, supervise teams, manage contractors, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and legal standards while developing SOPs and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in mining or closure projects.
• Experience in rehabilitation earthworks, civil infrastructure maintenance, and post-closure land stewardship is advantageous.
• Ability to manage water supply infrastructure and coordinate contractors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee closure activities across Sigma Defunct area, including land areas of private ownership.
• Manage engineering processes to ensure equipment availability and reliability.
• Coordinate mine closure projects and related activities, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Lead daily operations, supervise personnel, and manage contractors and service providers.
• Develop and implement SOPs, and ensure adherence to legislative requirements and budget targets.
• Drive safety initiatives, perform risk assessments, and foster a safety culture.
