Job summary

Placements24 is assisting a client in Paarl looking for a skilled Millwright Technician to join their industrial maintenance team. You will install, maintain, repair, and align machinery to ensure high uptime on production lines.

Key tasks include precision alignment using laser tools, diagnosing mechanical failures, and performing preventive maintenance while strictly observing safety protocols. This hands-on role requires independent work and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Certified or experienced Millwright with strong industrial maintenance background.
• Ability to install, maintain and repair complex machinery including pumps and gearboxes.
• Familiar with precision measuring instruments and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, dismantle, repair, reassemble, and maintain machinery and heavy equipment according to specifications.
• Perform precision alignment of machinery components using laser alignment tools and other advanced techniques.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures, identifying root causes and implementing effective repair strategies.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on a wide range of industrial equipment, ensuring operational reliability.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical manuals, and engineering specifications.
• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company procedures during all maintenance and repair activities.
