Job summary

Headhunters is seeking a qualified Millwright/Electrician for a based-in-Kirkwood position in the Eastern Cape. The role requires a trade-tested Artisan in Electrician or Millwright with 3 years post-qualification experience, a Code 08 driver’s license and own transport.

Overtime and shift work are part of the role. Responsibilities include maintaining health and safety standards, performing preventative and breakdown maintenance, fault finding, and possibly leading a small team.

Qualifications

• Trade tested Artisan (Electrician or Millwright) with 3 years post-qualification experience.
• Code 08 drivers license and own reliable transport.
• Willingness to work overtime and shift work.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to health and safety, environment, quality and housekeeping.

• Candidate will be expected to have the ability to plan his/her work.
• Apply fault-finding techniques, and repair equipment defects.
• Clean, maintain and repair mechanical parts, components and equipment as directed by the manager.
• Carry out workshop fabrication, equipment assembly and installation.
• Attain and maintain relevant licenses and authorizations required to execute allocated duties e.g. basic rigging, working at heights.
• Candidate may be required to lead a team.
