IOM - UN Migration in Pretoria, South Africa seeks a qualified nurse to support the Migration Health Assessment Centre (MHAC). The role involves assisting with daily nursing tasks, conducting medical examinations, vital signs checks, and specimen collection as needed, with focus on TB management, pre-departure procedures, and referrals.

• Certificate or high school diploma with three years of relevant experience.
• Nursing degree or equivalent with at least three years of relevant work experience.
• Accredited universities listed by UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

Responsabilidades

• Provide general assistance with daily nursing activities in the MHAC and support TB management and vaccination processes.
• Assist in medical examinations, vitals, weight, height, visual acuity, and sample collection where required.
• Support documentation, record keeping and information transmission; manage sample transport to the laboratory.
• Assist in infection prevention and control measures and in pre-departure procedures and medical movements.
• Support nurses in emergency management and chronic case management, including arranging specialist consultations.
• Maintain registers of applicants undergoing health investigations and upload medical reports to required databases.

Conocimientos

Excellent communication skills

Educación

Certificate or High School diploma and three years of relevant work experience

Intermediate degree in Nursing, with at least three years of relevant work experience
