Job summary

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Migration Health Assessment Centre (MHAC) in Pretoria seeks a Medical Assistant to support health assessment services and applicant processing. You will inform migrants about health programs, register them, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate records.

Ideal candidates have a university degree with relevant experience or a secondary diploma with extensive experience, plus strong typing and data management skills.

Qualifications

• University degree with at least two years relevant experience or a secondary school diploma with at least four years relevant experience.
• Desirable IT/Data entry certificate; Master's degree is an advantage.
• Experience in computer data entry, elaboration and analysis; call centre experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Inform migrants about health assessment programs and IOM services.
• Register migrants in the IOM database and schedule appointments.
• Manage communication and answer inquiries from migrants.
• Prepare master lists for health assessments and maintain daily statistics.
• Process medical forms and package medical files for mobile missions.
• Transmit documents to partners and manage proof of payment.
