Job summary

Responsibilities

• Create and produce high-quality animations, motion graphics, and video content for web, social, presentations and events.
• Own assigned motion and video projects from brief to final delivery, making day-to-day creative decisions within brand guidelines.
• Take projects from concept through to completion, including storyboarding, design, editing and post-production.
• Develop storyboards and design concepts that align with project briefs and brand guidelines.
• Incorporate graphics, titles, lower thirds, transitions and other visual elements to elevate production quality.
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, copywriters, and stakeholders to bring concepts to life through animation and video.
• Generate innovative ideas and concepts for motion and video projects that capture attention and convey messages.
• Work with branding team to develop and maintain motion design templates and assets.

We are seeking a Mid-Weight Motion & Video Designer to create, edit, and deliver engaging animations, motion graphics, and video content that enhance digital and marketing communications. This role suits a confident maker who owns their projects from brief through to final delivery, working independently across both motion design and video production to produce high-quality content that aligns with brand and messaging.

This position will operate within our Client's open and collaborative creative culture. This means all creative is shared early and often with the multi-disciplinary creative community. This will help ensure alignment and consistent evolution of our brand and holistic customer experiences.

What you will do:

• Create and produce high-quality animations, motion graphics, and video content for various platforms, including web, social media, presentations, and events.
• Own assigned motion and video projects independently, taking them from brief to final delivery and making day-to-day creative decisions within brand guidelines.
• Take projects from concept through to completion, including storyboarding, design, editing, and post-production.
• Develop storyboards and design concepts that align with project briefs and brand guidelines.
• Incorporate graphics, titles, lower thirds, transitions, and other visual elements to elevate the overall production quality.
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, copywriters, and other stakeholders to bring concepts to life through animation and video.
• Generate innovative ideas and concepts for motion and video projects that capture the audience’s attention and effectively convey the intended message.
• Work with the branding team to develop and maintain motion design templates and assets.
• Ensure all motion and video content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent visual style.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any challenges.
• Utilize industry-standard software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and other relevant tools to create and edit motion content.
• Maintain an organized library of motion graphics assets and project files.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in motion design and video production.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of experience in motion design and video production, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop) and other motion design software.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of motion design and video projects.
• Experience with Adobe Workfront is preferred.
• Experience using AI for content and generative creation.
• Excellent understanding of animation principles, storytelling, and visual composition.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Experience working within and contributing to a Brand Design System.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with sound design and audio editing.
• Possess an in-depth working knowledge of designing to meet accessibility standards, ensuring all creative experiences and data visualizations are inclusive and compliant.
• Editor with motion experience or motion designer with editor experience is a plus (but not a dealbreaker) as is a motion designer with some 3d (ideally cinema4D) experience.
