Job summary

Isipingo, Durban | 12-Month Contract | Intention to Go Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Power Platform professional to join our team on a 12-month contract, with a strong intention to transition the successful candidate into a permanent position based on business requirements and performance.

The role is based on-site in Isipingo, Durban, and will suit a hands-on technology professional who enjoys developing business solutions, automating processes, working with data and supporting digital transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will initially be employed on a 12-month contract, with the intention to move into a permanent position thereafter.

Duties:

• Design, develop and implement business solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
• Develop and maintain Canvas and/or Model-Driven applications.
• Automate business processes and workflows using Power Automate.
• Develop dashboards, reports and data visualisations using Power BI.
• Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Dataverse, APIs and other business systems.
• Translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Participate in software development and systems integration projects.
• Support digital transformation and technology implementation initiatives.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Assist with testing, deployment, documentation and ongoing solution support.
• Apply appropriate governance, security and access controls within Power Platform environments.
• Stay up to date with emerging Microsoft technologies, including AI and Copilot.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Accredited qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Development or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
• Practical experience across Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
• Experience developing and implementing business applications and automated workflows.
• Experience with software development and systems integration.
• Experience working with Microsoft SharePoint, preferably 2+ years.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and the wider Microsoft ecosystem.
• Experience with digital transformation, process automation or technology implementation projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Advantageous
• Microsoft Power Platform certifications such as PL-900, PL-100, PL-200, PL-300, PL-400 or PL-500.
• Experience with Dataverse, Dynamics 365, Power Pages or Azure.
• Knowledge of AI, Copilot or AI-enabled business applications.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, SQL or other integration technologies.
