Job summary

Salix Recruitment is seeking an IT System Administrator / Software Developer to join its IT team in Durban. The role blends systems administration with software development, automation, and digital transformation, offering exposure to Microsoft technologies and AI initiatives.

The successful candidate will maintain and secure IT systems, develop Power Platform solutions, administer SharePoint and support DX programs, AI initiatives and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• Accredited qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field is required.
• Minimum 2 years in Systems Administration.
• Minimum 2 years with Microsoft SharePoint.
• Minimum 2 years with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
• Experience in software development and systems integration.
• Experience in Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience in project management and/or digital transformation initiatives.

Duties:

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Accredited qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in Systems Administration.
• Minimum 2 years' experience working with Microsoft SharePoint.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with Microsoft Power Platform, specifically: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI
• Experience in software development and systems integration.
• Experience in Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience in project management and/or implementing digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Microsoft Certifications will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of AI technologies and their business applications will be advantageous.
