QPro Feeds is seeking a detail-oriented Micro-Weigher to join our Vrede mill. You will weigh, hand-add and verify micro-ingredients (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and medications) according to automated formulas and batch records.

You will operate and monitor automated scaling systems, mixers and bin-filling equipment, ensure correct labels, lot numbers and expiration dates, and follow batching protocols to prevent cross-contamination.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 Equivalent.
• 2 years' minimum experience in a Feed mill or similar environment.

Responsabilités

• Weigh, hand-add, and verify micro-ingredients (vitamins, trace minerals, amino acids, and medications) according to specific automated formulas.
• Operate and monitor automated micro-ingredient scaling systems, mixers, and bin-filling machinery.
• Verify raw material labels, lot numbers, and expiration dates.
• Strictly follow batching protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
• Monitor micro-ingredient bins, hand-fill micro-boxes safely, and report inventory discrepancies or low stock levels.
• Maintain exact batch records, tracking logs, and traceability sheets in compliance with mill and regulatory standards.
• Keep the micro-dosing area exceptionally clean. Wear required PPE—including dust masks or respirators to handle fine powders safely.

Job Description

Qpro Feeds is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-minded Micro-Weigher to join our team at our feed mill in Vrede. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise weighing, preparation, and dispensing of critical micro-ingredients (vitamins, premixes, minerals, and medications).
