About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Merchandiser to join their FMCG team in Benoni. This role is crucial for ensuring optimal product placement, stock availability, and visual presentation of our client's products in retail stores across the region. You will be the face of the brand on the ground, working closely with store management to implement merchandising plans that drive sales and enhance brand visibility in the Gauteng market. The ideal candidate has a passion for retail and a keen eye for product display and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute in-store merchandising plans, including product placement, shelf stocking, and display setup according to company guidelines.
• Monitor stock levels, identify low stock situations, and communicate replenishment needs to relevant parties.
• Ensure product pricing, signage, and promotional materials are accurately displayed.
• Build strong working relationships with store managers and staff to facilitate effective merchandising.
• Report on store conditions, competitor activities, and sales opportunities observed during store visits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in merchandising or retail is a plus.
• 1-2 years of experience in a merchandising or sales support role, preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Strong understanding of retail merchandising principles and visual presentation standards.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel to multiple retail locations in and around Benoni.
