Job summary

NHS Grampian is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the Medicines Information (MI) team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. You will provide an evidence-based Medicines Information service, contribute to ward-based MI duties and support guideline development.

You will deliver teaching to local pharmacy staff and undertake MI training to Accreditation. A strong communicator with good organisational skills is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Registered pharmacy technician with current practising status.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Medicines Information service to healthcare professionals across NHS Grampian, NHS Shetland and NHS Orkney.
• Deliver teaching and training to local pharmacy team members.
• Carry a clinical duty on a ward within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
• Answer medicines-related enquiries with evidence-based advice.
• Support the development of guidelines and policies.
