Placements24 is looking for an energetic Media Coordinator to support Media & PR initiatives in Bloemfontein, Free State. You will assist in media relations, prep materials, and tracking coverage within a collaborative communications team.

The ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in communications-related fields and 1–2 years of PR/marketing/administrative experience, with strong writing and organizational skills. This role is office-based in Bloemfontein and offers room for growth.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of PR, marketing, or administrative experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and basic media monitoring.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Detail-oriented with strong proofreading skills.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Bloemfontein, Free State.

• Assist in drafting press releases, media advisories, and other PR communications.
• Coordinate media inquiries and schedule interviews.
• Maintain and update media contact databases.
• Monitor media coverage across platforms and compile reports.
