Placements24 seeks a Mechanical Systems Analyst to join our Mossel Bay team. You will perform advanced engineering analyses to evaluate performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical systems using FEA/CFD tools and simulations.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field with focus on analysis.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in advanced mechanical simulations and analyses.
• Expertise in FEA and/or CFD software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL, STAR-CCM+.
• Strong solid mechanics, dynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics knowledge.
• Programming or scripting for data analysis is a plus.

About the Role

You will utilize sophisticated simulation software and analytical techniques to predict behavior under various conditions, identify potential failure modes, and recommend design improvements. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed simulations and analyses, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and thermal analysis.
• Evaluate the structural integrity, fatigue life, and thermal performance of mechanical designs.
• Develop and refine analytical models to accurately represent real-world physical phenomena.
• Interpret simulation results and provide clear, concise reports with actionable recommendations to design teams.
• Collaborate with design engineers to validate analytical findings and optimize designs based on performance requirements.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in simulation software and analytical methodologies.
