Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer in Pretoria to design and optimize advanced mechanical systems.

You will work across system dynamics, thermodynamics, and material science to ensure performance and reliability, collaborating with electrical, software, and controls teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in mechanical systems design, analysis, and integration.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor) and simulation tools for dynamic/thermal analysis.
• Strong understanding of control systems, mechatronics, and electromechanical principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test complex mechanical systems to meet performance, reliability, and safety specs.
• Perform detailed engineering calculations, simulations, and FEA to analyze system behavior under varying conditions.
• Create and maintain system documentation, including schematics, blueprints, specifications, and manuals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during development, testing, or field deployment.
