Job summary

Aeciminingchemicals seeks a senior mechanical engineering leader to guide capital projects across concept to handover, ensuring safety, compliance and value. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, set design criteria, review specifications and coordinate consultants, contractors and suppliers.

You will manage stage‑gate governance, develop execution plans, cost and schedule baselines, and integrate SAP PS project controls.

Qualifications

• BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Willingness to travel to facilities and sites.
• Ability to work safely in industrial plants and construction environments.
• 8–10 years of experience in heavy industrial, chemical, mining, manufacturing or process environments.
• Advanced experience in capital project management, mechanical engineering, design review and technical assurance.
• Experience in cost, financial, schedule, risk, scope and change management.
• Experience managing contractors, consultants, suppliers, EPCM providers and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Experience with SAP PS, capital governance and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering across all project phases from concept to handover.
• Develop engineering scopes, specs, drawings and equipment selections.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, quality requirements and operational needs.
• Manage consultants, suppliers and interfaces; resolve issues.
• Provide technical assurance and address constructability and safety concerns.
• Coordinate capital projects through stage-gate processes and governance.
• Prepare business cases and investment documentation.
• Monitor costs, schedules, risks and change control.
• Coordinate interfaces with operations, maintenance and other stakeholders.
• Oversee SAP PS based project controls and reporting.
