Job summary

Bilnor Staffing Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to coordinate and integrate engineering disciplines across the project lifecycle in Centurion, South Africa. You’ll be responsible for ensuring alignment with client specifications and internal standards while providing key support in procurement and fabrication processes.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in the mining and construction sectors. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential. The role offers a mix of office and site-based work, alongside the necessity for potential travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mining, bulk material handling, or industrial project environment.
• Experience in mining, bulk materials handling and conveyor systems is preferred.
• Fabrication experience and exposure to site work and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering disciplines across projects.
• Ensure correct implementation of engineering designs.
• Support site installation activities.

Skills

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Project coordination and planning skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365

Problem-solving and analytical thinking

Knowledge of fabrication & construction processes

Understanding of engineering disciplines and mining specifications

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Tools

Odoo (Project tracking and reporting)

Engineering drawing software (e.g. Inventor / SolidWorks / AutoCAD)

Project planning tools (e.g. MS Project)
