Qualifications

• Trade qualification (e.g., NQF Level 4) in Mechanical Fitting and Turning or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintaining rotating equipment in an industrial or energy environment.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Knowledge of different types of pumps, compressors, and turbines.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on-site in Nelspruit.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and lubrications on all assigned rotating equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures, including vibration analysis, alignment, and seal replacement.
• Install new equipment and ensure proper alignment and operational readiness.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
• Adhere strictly to safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and work permit systems.
