About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead their rotating equipment maintenance team in the Mahikeng industrial area. This role is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance activities for critical rotating machinery such as turbines, compressors, and pumps. You will manage a team of technicians, ensure the quality of work performed, and contribute to minimizing equipment downtime. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of rotating equipment, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and operational efficiency. This position is key to ensuring the reliability of our plant's essential machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work of maintenance technicians specializing in rotating equipment.
• Develop and manage preventative and predictive maintenance schedules for all rotating assets.
• Oversee the repair, overhaul, and installation of turbines, compressors, pumps, and other rotating machinery.
• Ensure adherence to maintenance best practices, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Manage spare parts inventory and liaise with vendors for specialized services.

Requirements

• Trade Qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Engineering (e.g., N3 or equivalent).
• Proven experience (5+ years) in the maintenance of rotating equipment in an industrial environment.
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Strong knowledge of vibration analysis, alignment, and balancing techniques.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills for the Mahikeng site.
