Job summary

Enigma and Mass Personnel is seeking mechanical engineering graduates for an internship with an oil manufacturing client. The role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems, while gaining exposure to production, maintenance, and quality teams.

You will assist with installation, testing, commissioning, and root cause analysis, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards and preparing CAD drawings and maintenance plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSc Eng - Mechanical) or related field.
• Internship position for mechanical engineering graduates.
• Strong interest in design, development and optimization of mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems, machinery, and production equipment.
• Analyse manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency, quality, and cost improvements.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all mechanical systems comply with safety regulations and engineering standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, including CAD drawings, process flow diagrams, and maintenance plans.
• Manage small to medium engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Support predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors for equipment procurement and services.
