You will solve complex mechanical, hydraulic and manufacturing challenges while collaborating with internal teams, suppliers and customers to deliver innovative solutions.

The role focuses on heavy industrial, mining and capital equipment systems with a strong emphasis on practical, commercially viable designs and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years post-graduate mechanical design experience.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD design software.
• Proven experience designing heavy industrial, mining, hydraulic, fluid power, mobile equipment or capital equipment systems.
• Sound understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Leading the mechanical design and development of specialized equipment and engineered solutions.
• Taking concepts from idea through design, prototyping, testing and production.
• Solving complex mechanical, hydraulic and manufacturing challenges.
• Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, production, suppliers and customers.
• Driving continuous improvement and product innovation.
• Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Contributing to the long-term technical strategy of the business.
