Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for power generation equipment, including rotating machinery, enclosures, and support structures.
• Perform detailed engineering analysis, including stress, thermal, and vibration analysis using FEA tools.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, such as detailed drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing specifications.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and field service teams to ensure product integrity and performance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues encountered during design, manufacturing, or field operation, and implement effective solutions.
• Optimize existing designs for improved performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Participate in design reviews, providing technical input and ensuring adherence to project requirements.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and industry best practices in power generation equipment design.
• Support the testing and validation of new designs and prototypes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in power generation or heavy machinery.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and PDM systems.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and solid mechanics.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software for structural and thermal analysis.
• Knowledge of materials selection, manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, casting), and quality control.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with rotating machinery design is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes.
