Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with PLM expertise for its client in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. You will manage and optimize the full lifecycle of mechanical products, ensuring data integrity, and enabling collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.

The role requires strong PLM knowledge, CAD proficiency, and experience with major PLM platforms. This on-site position offers opportunities for career growth in a growing manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4–6 years of mechanical engineering experience with PLM focus.
• Hands-on PLM software experience (Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA).
• Proficiency in CAD tools and data structures, change management knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Manage and administer the PLM system (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill).
• Oversee digital product data including CAD models, drawings, BOMs, specs, changes.
• Develop and maintain engineering workflows within PLM.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across product information.
• Collaborate with design engineers to manage and release designs in PLM.
• Provide access to product data and documentation to cross-functional teams.
• Support PLM feature upgrades, testing, and user training.
• Analyze lifecycle data to identify process improvements and cost reductions.
• Develop reports and dashboards for product development metrics.
• Stay updated on PLM best practices and emerging technologies.
