Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Mechanical Draughtsperson to join their Paarl engineering team. You will translate engineer designs into precise 2D/3D drawings and models, maintain revision-controlled databases, and prepare BOMs for manufacturing.

Strong CAD skills and attention to detail are essential to meet project specifications. In this role you will collaborate with engineers, ensure compliance with codes, and contribute to diverse mechanical projects in the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or relevant certification in Mechanical Engineering or Draughting.
• Proven experience with detailed mechanical drawings and a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Inventor) and attention to industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings, schematics, and models using CAD software.
• Ensure drawings comply with standards, codes, and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers to clarify design requirements and incorporate feedback.
• Create BOMs and documentation for manufacturing and procurement.
• Maintain drawing databases and revision control.
• Review drawings for accuracy and design intent.
