Placements24 is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Lead to spearhead our design engineering efforts in Randburg. This leadership role involves guiding a team of mechanical designers and engineers, setting technical direction, and ensuring the delivery of innovative and high-quality mechanical solutions.

You will shape product development strategy, drive design excellence, and mentor team members to foster their growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in mechanical design with at least 3 years in a leadership or team lead role.
• Expert in 3D CAD modeling and advanced simulation; SolidWorks/Inventor experience.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and DFM/DFx principles.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex design projects from concept to production in Randburg.
