Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Design Engineer for its renewable energy client in Cape Town. You will design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems for solar and wind projects, ensuring reliability and performance while contributing to sustainable infrastructure.

You will create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, run structural and thermal analyses, and collaborate with electrical engineers, project managers, and manufacturers to bring designs to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3–5 years of mechanical design experience in system or component engineering
• Proficiency with CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools
• Knowledge of renewable energy systems is a strong asset
