Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client in Mahikeng, North West. You will lead the end-to-end design of industrial machinery, from concept through CAD modeling to prototyping and production support, applying robust engineering practices.

The role requires hands-on proficiency with 3D CAD, FEA, and a strong understanding of manufacturing, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in mechanical design of industrial machinery.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Experience with FEA for structural/dynamic analysis.
• Knowledge of machining, fabrication and welding.
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and collaboration; able to manage design projects.
