Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for our Mahikeng facility in North West to design and develop cutting‑edge machinery for high‑precision manufacturing. You will create detailed 3D CAD models, prepare drawings and BOMs, run analyses, prototype, test, and collaborate with manufacturing and automation teams in a hybrid work setup.

The ideal candidate has a BEng/BSc in Mechanical Engineering, at least 4 years of design experience, and solid CAD/CAM skills (SolidWorks or Fusion

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical design, focusing on machinery or manufacturing equipment.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software; CAM experience is a plus.
• Experience with CNC machining, additive manufacturing, and fabrication.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, including kinematics and materials.

Responsibilities
