You will own the mechanical design lifecycle from concept through prototyping to production support, collaborating with electrical, industrial design and software teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in consumer electronics design, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Creo), and a passion for user-centric devices.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and enclosures for consumer electronic devices.

• Optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM), assembly (DFA), cost-effectiveness, and aesthetic appeal.
• Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, industrial designers, and software teams.
• Manage prototyping and testing phases to validate designs and identify areas for improvement.
• Work with manufacturing partners to ensure successful production and quality control.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues that arise during development or production.
• Stay abreast of emerging materials, manufacturing technologies, and design trends in consumer electronics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong emphasis on consumer electronics or product design.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Creo).
• Experience with material selection, plastic injection molding, and metal fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with thermal analysis and simulation tools.
