Job summary

Buraaq Mining in Benoni, Gauteng, seeks an experienced mechanical design draughtsman to convert concepts into precise drawings, modify components, and provide technical support to production and other departments.

Applicants should have at least 3 years in mechanical design drafting, be proficient with micrometers and verniers, interpret engineering drawings, use CAD software, and be willing to travel with own transport; good English communication and physical fitness required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of mechanical engineering design drafting experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and create technical drawings from concepts.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home with own transport.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical engineering design drafting: prepare drawings and modifications of mechanical components.
• Drawings – create and modify technical drawings for production and QC.
• Provide technical support to company departments on drawings and specs.
• Assist production with drawing queries and resolve issues.
