Placements24 is assisting a progressive high school in Centurion, Gauteng to recruit a dynamic Mathematics Teacher. The role includes planning, delivering and assessing mathematics across grades, with a focus on analytical and problem-solving skills.

We seek a candidate with a Bachelor's in Mathematics and a PGCE (or equivalent), SACE registration, and proven high school teaching experience. You will use digital tools to differentiate instruction, collaborate with colleagues, and engage parents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven high school Mathematics teaching experience.
• Familiarity with CAPS Curriculum for FET and GET phases.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging mathematics lessons to high school students according to the curriculum.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field, along with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Relevant teaching experience at the high school level, with a proven track record of student success in Mathematics.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the South African National Curriculum (CAPS) for Mathematics at the FET and GET phases.
• Excellent pedagogical skills and the ability to inspire and motivate adolescent learners.
• Strong classroom management techniques.
• Proficiency in integrating educational technology into teaching practices.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities is an advantage.
• Must possess a valid South African teaching qualification and registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
