Placements24 is seeking a Senior High School Mathematics Educator for our Johannesburg campus. You will deliver high-quality instruction across Grades 8–12, aligning with the national curriculum while incorporating innovative teaching practices.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mathematics or related field, SACE registration, and at least 5 years of high school Math teaching experience. A Master's degree is advantageous; hybrid work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education is essential.
• Master's degree is advantageous for the role.
• Registration with the relevant professional body (SACE) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of high school Mathematics teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans for Grades 8–12 including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
• Deliver engaging, inclusive classroom instruction and adapt methods to diverse learners.
• Assess progress with assignments, quizzes, tests, and exams; provide timely feedback.
• Foster a positive learning environment encouraging participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with colleagues to refine curriculum and participate in professional development.
• Supervise students during extracurricular activities and mentor math/STEM clubs.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about performance and development.

Key Responsibilities
