Placements24 in Klerksdorp, North West, is seeking an Advanced Machinery Calibration Technician to calibrate, verify, and maintain CNC machines, lathes, mills, and assembly lines with precision.

You will use digital calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and surface testers; maintain records; collaborate with production and quality teams; and stay current with ISO standards in metrology. Occasional after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on calibration experience.
• Experience calibrating CNCs, lathes, mills and automated lines.
• Strong metrology knowledge and ISO standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem solving.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform precise calibration and verification of various industrial machines including CNCs, lathes, mills and automated lines.
• Maintain detailed records of calibration activities and data.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor calibration issues on machinery.
• Develop and refine calibration procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with production and quality control teams to address calibration discrepancies.
• Ensure calibration tools and equipment are properly maintained and available for use.
• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices in metrology and calibration.
• Assist in selection and procurement of new calibration equipment.
• Adhere to all company quality standards and safety regulations.
