Placements24 is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production processes at its Rustenburg facility. The role focuses on improving efficiency, quality, and cost through lean and Six Sigma methodologies, process simulations, and automation technologies.

CAD tooling design and cross-functional collaboration are essential. The ideal candidate has a strong track record in manufacturing engineering, with at least five years of experience and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing engineering with proven process optimization.
• Strong knowledge of lean, Six Sigma and continual improvement methodologies.
• Experience with process simulation software and automation technologies.
• Proficiency in CAD software for tooling/fixtures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of quality control and manufacturing standards.
• Effective communication and ability to train production staff.
• Experience in metals/mining support is a plus.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the manufacturing sector, is actively seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to enhance and optimize production processes at their facility in Rustenburg, North West . This role is integral to driving efficiency, improving product quality, and reducing manufacturing costs. You will be responsible for analyzing existing production lines, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing methodologies, process simulation, and automation. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction.
• Develop and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and automation technologies.
• Design, test, and validate new manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and control plans.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth implementation of process changes and provide necessary training.
• Work with the design and R&D departments to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, quality, and cost, and report on progress.
