Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our client’s manufacturing plant in Mossel Bay. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing various industrial machinery to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, perform preventative maintenance, and support safe production line operation on-site in Mossel Bay.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of industrial equipment.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures.
• Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and emergency repair needs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and manuals for repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used and equipment history.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices during maintenance operations.
