Job summary

Together Staffing group seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a manufacturing operation in Gauteng, Johannesburg. You will design, develop and improve mechanical systems and plant equipment, manage projects from concept through implementation, and provide technical support to production and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

Matric is required.
BTech Mechanical Engineering is required.
3–5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems.
Experience in project management and equipment optimisation.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of CAD and engineering design principles advantageous.
Communication and stakeholder management skills.
ECSA registration advantageous.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and improve mechanical systems and plant equipment.
Manage mechanical engineering projects from concept through implementation.
Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams.
Investigate equipment failures and implement solutions.
Support equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning activities.
Drive initiatives to improve reliability and production efficiency.
Ensure engineering work complies with safety, quality, and statutory requirements.
Prepare technical reports, specifications, drawings, and project documentation.
