Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing Support) to strengthen our client’s Vereeniging-based manufacturing team. You will troubleshoot complex mechanical issues on the factory floor, implement preventative maintenance, and collaborate on equipment design and modification to improve uptime and quality.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Eng degree, 6+ years in manufacturing engineering, and hands-on experience with automation, hydraulics, pneumatics, and CAD.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support for all mechanical aspects of the manufacturing production lines.

• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical failures, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and complex assemblies.
• Experience with CAD software for modifications and design improvements.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
