Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in a Manufacturing Engineering role.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma.
• Proficiency in CAD software and experience with simulation tools.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and project management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional work.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes and production systems to meet specs and quality.
• Analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency gains.
• Develop and implement process controls and quality assurance procedures.
• Create and maintain process documents, SOPs, and workflows.
• Collaborate with R&D, design, and production on new product introductions and redesigns.

About the Role

Our client seeks a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their innovative team in Randburg . This role is central to driving improvements in production processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety within their Manufacturing & Production operations. You will be involved in designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing methods, tools, and equipment to support new product introductions and existing product enhancements. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a passion for problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes and production systems to meet product specifications and quality requirements.
• Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains.
• Develop and implement process controls and quality assurance procedures.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including process flows, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with R&D, design, and production teams on new product introductions and product redesigns.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and improve output.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role within a production environment .
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles , Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement techniques.
