Job summary

Flink Recruitment in Durban is seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to oversee the Special Cargo, Warehouse and Distribution teams. You will ensure efficient daily operations, accurate inventory control, and timely cargo handling to meet customer needs.

You will lead a cross-functional team, drive compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards, manage budgets, and monitor KPIs to optimise performance.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 Diploma or Degree.
• At least 8 years' experience in logistics/warehousing leadership.
• Warehouse management (inventory controls).

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of Special Cargo, Warehouse and Distribution to ensure efficiency, compliance and customer-focused service.
• Oversee warehouse systems, inventory control, cargo handling and digital functionality.
• Optimise warehouse operations and ensure efficient delivery.
• Manage sales, quotes and delivery for special cargo.
• Manage sales, quotes and operations for warehousing and distribution.
• Ensure high levels of customer service by handling client requests and requirements.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, security and regulatory standards.
• Control departmental budgets, invoices, expenses and financial performance.
• Lead, coach and manage the warehouse team to achieve operational objectives.
• Support sales, finance and debtor management to ensure effective business operations.
• Drive continuous improvement, monitor KPIs and ensure operational excellence.
