Pollock and Associates is seeking an experienced logistics leader to take ownership of a substantial distribution centre operation, focusing on service delivery, cost control and operational discipline. You will oversee warehousing, distribution and administration while ensuring customer, financial, contractual and legislative requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Matric with a tertiary qualification in Logistics or Road Transport Management.
• 10+ years of logistics experience.
• Minimum 7 years in senior supervisory or middle-management level.
• Experience in high-volume FMCG, retail or fast-moving distribution.
• Strong transport and logistics knowledge.
• Knowledge of NBCRFI Agreement and road traffic legislation.
• Advanced MS Excel and Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete warehousing, distribution and administration operation.
• Drive picking, checking and warehouse efficiencies.
• Manage inventory accuracy, pallets, shrinkage, damages and loss control.
• Optimise routing and distribution performance.
• Manage labour, employee relations and departmental KPIs.
• Implement daily performance measures and improvement initiatives.
• Maintain Health & Safety compliance.
• Control operational assets, including vehicles, IT equipment and racking.

You will lead the full warehousing and distribution function, ensuring the operation consistently achieves customer, financial, contractual and legislative requirements.

This position requires an experienced logistics leader who understands the complexities of high-volume, fast-moving distribution and can drive measurable improvements across people, inventory and operational performance. You will bring a practical, analytical management style, strong customer-service orientation and the ability to lead teams while maintaining tight operational and commercial control.

Minimum Requirements
