Job summary

Mediclinic is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the ER24 branch-level operational strategy, ensuring objectives are met and risks are managed. You will oversee daily site operations, financials, HR, and OHS, while supporting branch marketing initiatives and maintaining clinical governance.

The role requires 3+ years in operations with supervisory experience, a strong EMS and HPCSA knowledge base, and solid budgeting and stakeholder-management skills.

Qualifications

• Senior Certificate with University Entrance.
• ILS Certification.
• ALS Certification and National Diploma in Business Management are preferred.
• Holds HPCSA-regulated EMS qualifications and understands healthcare industry.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

3 years operational experience; 2 years supervisory experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

3-5 years operational experience, 2 -3 years management experience

• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of all EMS qualifications with the HPCSA framework
• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the healthcare industry
• Demonstrates a basic understanding of all functions and processes within a private hospital environment, and how disciplines interact with each other
• Applies sound budgeting and financial planning/management principles
• Demonstrates understanding and correct application of business metrics, governance, and risk management
• Demonstrates a good understanding of contract and service level agreement (SLA) management
• Demonstrates a good understanding of Funders of Healthcare
• Demonstrates a good understanding and application of all relevant legislative regulations
