Job summary

Wine Co. in Hoedspruit is seeking a Maintenance Technician with millwright/electrical experience to uphold equipment performance and safety.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, and work on PLCs, VFDs, and conveyors while maintaining records and ensuring health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate as a millwright or electrician.
• Minimum 1 year maintenance experience.
• Packhouse experience will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and conveyor system faults.
• Install, service, maintain, and align plant machinery and production equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative checks to ensure reliable equipment performance.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, VFDs, HMI interfaces, and other automated control systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and spare parts inventories while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and company standards.
