Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician to join the Vereeniging operations team. The role focuses on uptime and reliability for heavy machinery through preventative maintenance and timely repairs.

You will diagnose, repair, and improve equipment performance while ensuring safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools.
• Experience with PLC systems and troubleshooting is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on a variety of industrial machines and production lines.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues, performing timely and effective repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
• Read and interpret technical manuals , blueprints, and schematics to guide repairs and maintenance.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and report on equipment status and required actions.
