Job summary

Placements24 seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing facility in Klerksd. This role focuses on diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, with preventative maintenance and safety compliance at the forefront.

Although remote, you will guide on-site personnel or contractors through complex repairs, review equipment history, and help minimize downtime across the North West facility.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in manufacturing.
• Experience with industrial machinery, automation, and control logic.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on production machinery.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to minimize equipment breakdowns and extend operational life.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify root causes of equipment malfunctions.
• Oversee and guide on-site personnel or third-party technicians during critical repairs or installations.
• Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring accuracy of equipment history.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and lockout/tagout procedures.
