Zohorecruit in Hoedspruit, Limpopo, South Africa, invites applications for a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee lodge infrastructure and assets at a premier luxury safari lodge.

You will lead a maintenance and groundskeeping team, supervise routine, preventative and emergency work, maintain solar setups, generators, boreholes, water pumps and electric fencing, and handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tiling and painting as needed.

This live-in role offers on-site accommodation and meals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
• Strong technical proficiency across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, solar, small engines).
• Valid South African driver’s licence; PDP or 4x4 driving experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute maintenance across the lodge, staff village, and estate structures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot lodge systems including solar, generators, boreholes, water pumps, and fencing.
• Perform day-to-day repairs in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, tiling, and painting.

We are a premier luxury safari lodge situated in a spectacular wildlife reserve, and we are looking for a dedicated, proactive Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our lodge infrastructure and assets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Infrastructure Oversight: Oversee and execute routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance across the lodge, staff village, and estate structures.

• Systems Management: Maintain and troubleshoot critical lodge systems, including solar setups, generators, boreholes, water pumps, and electric fencing.
• General Handyman Trades: Handle day-to-day repairs involving basic plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, tiling, and painting.
• Team Leadership: Manage and schedule daily tasks for the maintenance and groundskeeping team to keep the property pristine.
• Fleet Support: Assist with basic vehicle checks and minor mechanical maintenance for safari and utility vehicles.

Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience, ideally within a remote luxury lodge, resort, or commercial property environment.
• Technical Skills: Strong technical proficiency across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, solar, and small engines are highly valued).
• Licence: Valid South African driver’s licence (PDP or 4x4 driving experience is a distinct advantage).
• Attributes: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to work independently in a remote area.

WHAT WE OFFER:

• Salary: R10,000 - R18,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience and trade qualifications).
