Job summary

Hire Resolve is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join a leading mining company in the Northern Cape. The role focuses on developing and implementing maintenance plans for the mining site, coordinating activities and ensuring resource availability.

The successful candidate will monitor maintenance programs, collaborate with contractors and stakeholders, and maintain accurate work orders and equipment history. A supervisory background and CMMS experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Trade Test Certificate in Diesel Mech/Fitter/Boilermaking/HEME is required.
• 3–5 years experience on planned maintenance systems at supervisory level is preferred.
• Maintenance planning and scheduling certificate is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure equipment and machinery are maintained in optimal condition.
• Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Ensure the availability of necessary resources, such as spare parts and materials, for maintenance work.
• Monitor the effectiveness of maintenance programs and make improvements as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment history.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance work.

• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
