Evotec Plastics islooking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Millwright to support the reliability and performance of its manufacturing operations.
The purpose of the role is to improve plant reliability and reduce production downtime by performing electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, installations and preventive maintenance on Evotec’s manufacturing and supporting equipment.
Main Outcomes:
- Improved reliability andavailability of production equipment.
- Reduced production downtimethrough prompt and effective fault-finding.
- Recurring equipment failuresidentified and addressed at their root cause.
- Preventive-maintenance schedulesestablished and consistently completed.
- Accurate maintenance, breakdownand equipment records maintained.
- Critical spare parts identifiedand appropriately managed.
- Maintenanceactivities completed without introducing safety or contamination risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attendto mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
- Diagnoserecurring machine faults and identify their root causes.
- Maintainmoulding, assembly, printing, conveying and ancillary equipment.
- Maintainmotors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains and shafts.
- Conductfault-finding on electrical panels, sensors, contactors, relays and motorcircuits.
- Maintainhydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Establishand manage preventive-maintenance schedules.
- Conductplanned services and equipment inspections.
- Maintainan accurate machine and equipment register.
- Recordbreakdowns, repairs, parts used and production downtime.
- Identifycritical spare parts and recommend appropriate stock levels.
- Liaisewith machine suppliers and specialist contractors.
- Supportmachine installations, relocations and commissioning.
- Ensuretools, lubricants, chemicals, loose parts and maintenance debris do notintroduce contamination risks.
Requirements
- A recognisedMillwright Trade Test Certificate.
- Matric or anequivalent qualification.
- At least threeyears’ post-trade experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strongmechanical and electrical fault-finding ability.
- Experienceworking with three-phase motors and industrial electrical systems.
- Practicalexperience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability toread and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Ability towork independently and remain effective during breakdowns.
- Basic computerliteracy and the ability to maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Willingnessto work overtime or provide after-hours breakdown support when reasonablyrequired
